1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or accessing Lingomodo ("we," "our," or "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service. Lingomodo provides AI-powered lesson-building tools designed exclusively for educators, teachers, and instructional professionals.

2. Accounts & Single-User Access

  • Registration: You must register via Google OAuth or designated login methods using accurate information.

  • No Account Sharing: Accounts are granted for individual educator use only. You may not share your login credentials or permit multiple users to access a single account.

  • Account Termination: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in unauthorized system abuse.

3. Subscriptions, Limits & Billing

  • Tiers & Usage Caps: Lingomodo offers free and paid subscription plans. Specific monthly generation limits, feature access, and output caps are specified on our Pricing Page and may be updated periodically.

  • Billing & Auto-Renewal: Paid plans are billed on a monthly or discounted annual basis. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless canceled prior to the renewal date through your account settings.

  • Refund Policy: Payments are non-refundable except where required by law or specified at purchase.

4. Educator Responsibilities & No Student PII

  • Teacher Review Required: AI models can occasionally produce inaccurate, incomplete, or biased information. You are solely responsible for reviewing, fact-checking, and editing all generated content prior to classroom use.

  • Prohibition of Student PII: You agree never to input personally identifiable information (PII)—such as student full names, student IDs, or personal records—into Lingomodo forms or prompt fields.

5. Intellectual Property & Content Rights

  • Your Generated Resources: You retain ownership of the custom teaching materials you generate using Lingomodo and may edit, print, perform, and distribute them for personal and instructional use.

  • Platform Ownership: Lingomodo retains all proprietary rights, copyright, and intellectual property in the website, code, visual design, and underlying service architectures.

  • Copyright Inquiries: If you believe any content hosted or generated on Lingomodo violates your copyright, notify us immediately at support@lingomodo.com.

6. Limitation of Liability & Indemnification

  • Service "As-Is": Lingomodo is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind.

  • Cap on Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lingomodo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from service downtime or reliance on AI outputs.

  • Indemnification: You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Lingomodo from any claims, damages, or legal expenses resulting from your misuse of the platform or violation of these Terms.

7. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to conflict of law principles.
