At Lingomodo ("we," "our," or "us"), we prioritize educator privacy and security. Lingomodo is a lesson-building platform designed strictly for use by teachers and educational professionals. We collect minimal personal information, collect zero student data, and handle all user inputs under strict security and privacy standards.

2. Information We Collect

  • Educator Account Data: When you register or log in using Google OAuth, we receive basic profile information passed by Google—specifically your name, email address, and unique Google Account ID. We never collect, process, or store your Google password.

  • User-Generated Content & Prompts: We store the custom parameters, target language preferences, vocabulary lists, and prompt inputs you enter into the app to generate and save your classroom materials in your personal resource library.

  • Cookies & Technical Data: We use standard, strictly necessary session cookies to keep you securely logged in and maintain your active workflow while using the application.

3. Student Privacy (FERPA & COPPA Compliance)

Lingomodo collects zero student personally identifiable information (PII). Students do not create accounts, log in, or submit data to the platform. Because no student personal data is ever collected, stored, or processed, Lingomodo fully complies with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

4. How We Use Your Data

We use your information exclusively to:

  • Authenticate your account and manage your active sessions.

  • Generate and store your requested instructional materials.

  • Communicate essential product updates, policy changes, or system alerts.

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

5. AI Processing & Model Training Warranties

Text prompts and custom parameters you submit to Lingomodo are securely processed through enterprise-grade API integrations (such as OpenAI) to generate your resources.

  • No AI Training: In accordance with standard API data privacy agreements, prompt data submitted through our platform is used solely to generate your requested content and for temporary safety and security monitoring. Your prompts and materials are never used to train public AI models.

6. Data Retention, Security, and Rights

We apply industry-standard encryption protocols to protect your account data and saved resources. You retain complete ownership and control over your data. You may request full deletion of your account and all associated saved materials at any time by contacting us at support@lingomodo.com.
